Abysmal Engine aims to reimplement an Ultima Underworld 1/2 and System Shock engines for modern operating systems. It requires the original Ultima Underworld or System Shock data files to run.
Abysmal Engine builds on the great reverse engineering work done by the TSSHP, UWAdv and uw2rev projects.
Un moteur compatible avec les jeux Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss et System Shock, par Julien Langer.
Abysmal est un moteur solo compatible avec les jeux :
• Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss (1992), un jeu d'aventures de type médiéval fantastique au tour par tour,
• et System Shock (1994), un mélange de FPS et de jeu d'aventures dont l'action se situe en 2072 dans la station spatiale Citadel.
💡️ Commentaires généraux:
Nous avons terminé notre saisie par la lecture de la FAQ (lien "Features" ci-avant), on y apprend que pour l'instant (en Mai 2011 comme en Mai 2009) aucun jeu n'est encore jouable.
Nous aurions peut-être dû commencer par là :)).
Nous conservons la fiche pour l'instant, mais enlevons le statut "Linux Game" et lui apposons celui de "Non funct".
Qui sait ? Peut-être que le projet finira par redémarrer ...
